Good to Know
How long does a tooth gem last?
Most Swarovski crystals last 6–24 months. Heavier gems, such as gold or diamond styles, typically last 6–12 months due to their weight.
Is getting a tooth gem painful?
No. Tooth gems are applied using a professional dental-grade bond with no drilling and no pain.
Will I feel the gem on my tooth?
You may notice it at first, but most people adjust within a few days and no longer feel it.
Will a tooth gem damage my tooth?
No. The gem is bonded to the enamel in a similar way to orthodontic brackets. When removed, the gem is gently popped off by your dentist and the tooth is polished.
Does a tooth gem affect brushing or dental hygiene?
Normal brushing is fine. We recommend avoiding electric toothbrushes directly on the gem.
What if the gem falls off and is swallowed?
The gems are smooth, tiny, and non-toxic. If swallowed, they will pass naturally.
Can I still have my teeth professionally cleaned?
Yes. Tooth gems do not interfere with dental cleanings. Hygienists can safely clean around and over the gem.
